Foreign Fears: Machine Girl (2008)
reviewed by Steven Duarte
This month’s recommended Foreign Fears Feature is a film that comes from some of the twisted minds who also brought us Tokyo Gore Police. This revenge story follows stereotypical school girl whose brother is killed in cold blood by the son of a Yakuza boss. She ends of having her arm cut off which only pisses her off even more. The arm is replaced with a machine gun and the gory hilarity ensues. Just as other extreme B movie Japanese films, this is very over the top with holes being made in peoples bodies, limbs flying everywhere and blood being dropped by the gallon. This film also features a women’s bra that is constructed out of Drill bits. Use your imagination to let that one sink in and you still will not be fully prepared for Machine Girl.
