Martyrs (2008)
This month’s recommended Foreign Fears Feature film is Pascal Laugier’s film Martyrs. I was literally blown away by this film. This film is a supernatural thriller, a torture film and Hellraiser all in one. It’s upsetting that this film’s director was removed from the Hellraiser remake project as it could have been awesome. The ending will surely leave you asking for more as this film lets you interpret it’s meaning, unlike many American made films it does not force feed the intended meaning. Also just like last month’s Feature this one is full of gore and is not for the faint at heart.
